Field Service Technician - Air Compressors

Blackhawk Equipment Corporation, founded in 1985, is the premier rotary screw, oil free, and centrifugal air compressor distributor in Colorado. Located in Arvada, Colorado our headquarters houses sales, service, engineering and parts divisions. Collaboration between divisions ensures a single source for all of our customers compressed air needs. As a close knit organization, we are looking for the right individual who wants to be an integral part of our team.

We are looking for a mechanically inclined individual with a willingness to learn and work hard.

 

Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and install all types of air compressors, air dryers and filters.
- Firsthand experience with rotary screw compressors, Sullair preferred.
- Firsthand experience with centrifugal compressors, preferred.
- Read prints, wiring schematics, and diagrams for all equipment
- Complete mechanical/electrical repair work as needed in an efficient manner
- Must be able to interface with customers with a sense of pride and professionalism.
- Overtime and travel may be required.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school education and two to five years of previous mechanical/service experience.
  • Strong mechanical background and troubleshooting skills are necessary.
  • Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Candidates must be able to perform duties without direct supervision; be self-directed.
  • A set of basic maintenance tools is required.
  • All applicants will be required to submit a motor vehicle record.

Relocation assistance will be considered based on experience!

Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Monday – Friday, one hour lunch. Overtime may be required.

Compensation commensurate with experience
