Portable Soft Start Pump Control Station – RMIS
BlackHawk Equipment has designed a portable Pump Control Station for RMIS. It is for use in remote areas where they may not have access to shore power. The base has been designed with durability and functionality in mind. It is equipped with fork pockets on opposite sides to facilitate loading /unloading and transport on site. There is also a set of heavy duty drag bars front and rear if it needs to be dragged into place depending on equipment availability. The frame ends are dove tailed to help facilitate this type of moving. The upper framework is dual purpose it encloses the Soft Starter cabinet for protection and an added set of fixtures provides additional on skid cable storage.
We have installed a Benshaw soft starter sized for a 150hp 1750rpm motor. A 460V to 110v control transformer, system reset button, power "on", lights, and door mounted keypad shall be included in a NEMA 3R enclosure. There are six (6) cable connections on the enclosure and an additional three (3) for the customer to use on their pump. These cable connections are a quick connect style with male / female ends, cutting down on set up time in the field.
This is an all-purpose multi-use skid that we can size to fit the needs of the customers’ equipment and operational demands. We also provide the option to design it as a VFD controller depending on the customer's end use.
RMIS (ROCKY MOUNTAIN INDUSTRIAL SERVICES) provides a chemical cleaning service for boilers, heat exchangers, process pipe, turbines and much more. They have a strong focus on large scale industrial cleaning solutions. RMIS utilizes this custom control skid on two of their existing portable pump skids to circulate their cleaning solutions through the boilers, pipes and equipment being cleaned.
